HISTORY

ZMT was founded in 2006 by NFT Holding together with leading scientists of the IT'IS Foundation. The members include Myles Capstick, Andreas Christ, Sven Kühn, Esra Neufeld, Michael Oberle and Bruno Reumer, as well as the shareholders of NFT. The main objective of ZMT was the commercialization of solutions developed by the IT'IS Foundation and SPEAG specifically for the medical and life science industry.

ZMT started with the first professional set of medical device test systems for MRI implant safety tests. These have been procured by governmental bodies and manufacturers such as the FDA and Boston Scientific. ZMT has extended its product portfolio in 2009 with iSEG, the most versatile medical image segmentation tool currently available. iSEG is also used as an essential part of ZMT's powerful hyperthermia treatment planning tool, HYCAT. Its introduction marked the beginning of ZMT's mid-to-long term strategy to become the leader in novel multi-physics platforms dedicated to the specific needs of the biomedical and life-science industry.
